I am proud to represent the WSB-TV, Channel 2 family in welcoming you to the BMOA Wheels of Dreams. After 28 years of working in Atlanta for Channel 2 Action News, I have been fortunate to realize my dream of being a broadcast journalist. My job also gives me a chance to participate in great programs that improve the lives of people in our community.

I am also honored to be a part of the Wheels of Dreams mission to challenge you to not only dream of what you want to become in life but also to help set the wheels in motion to accomplish your dreams.

I learned from my family that honesty, integrity, and strong values would carry you far in life. My mother always preached, "It's what you do, with what you have, that makes you who you are."

Many mentors have helped me along the way and have taught me that success is never achieved alone. My teachers have taught me how to think, listen and learn. My job supervisors have helped me learn how to work with people, to set and accomplish goals with excellence, on time, as well as how to be a leader in making change.

My career in television continues to give me a chance to achieve many of my dreams and there is no better place for that than WSB-TV, Channel 2.

Channel 2 reaches more than 90% of all television households in our region on a monthly basis; nearly 2 million households! Not only is Channel 2 the dominant station in Atlanta, it is one of the top rated news stations in the country. Each week Channel 2 Action News delivers half of the local news audience. That's a big responsibility!

Channel 2 employees take their jobs seriously. For more than 50 years we have been listening to our viewers and delivering vital news, information and entertainment that those viewers want and need.

Channel 2 produces more local programs than any other station in our marketplace. Our award winning Family 2 Family Project has become the longest running locally produced, comprehensive, station-wide public service effort in Georgia.

I like what I do at Channel 2 and I know finding what one likes to do is not always easy. But now you have taken the first step by boarding the BMOA Wheels of Dreams. I wish you a successful journey!
